#nomoremermaidtears with local beach-goers

Today we brought the #nomoremermaidtears campaign to YOU! After a Natural Bridges photoshoot, we reached out to community members at the beach and tidepools and engaged them in conversation about plastic pollution and just what it means for our town. People expressed concern about the amount of trash up and down the coast, and lots of them were surprised at some of our Fast Facts about plastic! Check out these pictures, and please consider the actions YOU can take to preserve Santa Cruz's beaches...whether it's joining a beach clean-up, refusing single-use plastic at local restaurants, or educating others, we'd love to hear about it!
